Mary Kate and Rachel O Flanagan are script consultants (we think of ourselves as story midwives), who work internationally, helping to shape stories by emerging and established screenwriters. Between us we have over four decades of experience working in film and television.
Our work with writers is in the tradition of the Socratic approach. That's a fancy way of saying, we ask questions to clarify the writer's intentions and use our understanding of the craft to help writers realise the best versions of their stories, rather than trying to impose solutions.
To support writers, we offer online screenwriting courses in story structure, character, economical writing, effective pitching and more.
